Baptisms & Fredricton

Dearest My Peeps,

How're things? I'm doing quite well. I took Patrick home yesterday, then stayed over night. He went to Fredricton for March Break. He'll be back again next Saturday or Sunday. I throughly enjoyed myself. Apparently I'll be back for a few days in May. One of his friends is getting married & he's asked me to be his "plus one" to the ceremony. Not a clue what I'll wear, but hey, I can bet it'll be clothes of some sort. Likely niceish ones too.

There was a baptismal service tonight at church. There were four planned baptisms & one total spontaneous one. After Pastor was done the four, he was like "I've never done this here before, but if there's anybody who should be up here being baptized, feel free to come up. I'll wait a few minutes for you." So the assistant pastor kept singing, while Pastor waited.

Now, let me add, that I don't fully know if I was ever baptized before or not. I think I was, but I don't really remember for sure. If I was, I was young enough that it didn't make much of an impact, though I seem to recall making them all laugh. And really, it would have been just because it was the thing to do, not because Jesus had actually done anything for me, besides letting me be born into the family I was. It wasn't till I was almost 14 that He personally saved me & pulled me back from the brink. (If you don't know what, when or how & want to know, ask. If you know, great. If you couldn't care less, your choice.)

So I was the totally spontaneous one. Mrs. Pastor followed me out of the sanctuary, to see if I needed help getting the robe on (they have choir robey things for baptisms, to guarentee something doesn't become see through or something I guess). Since I had no change of clothes, I didn't specially need help. I stripped off down to my bra and panties (I couldn't have went in front of the congregation without those; I'd have felt like such a tramp & wouldn't have survived) and put the robe on. Then I totally went to the baptismal tank. Pastor asked me if I wanted to share what was on my mind. I was totally like, "Well, I don't know if I was ever baptised or not. Apparently if I was, I was young enough that it didn't make much of an impression. And since it wasn't till I was 13 or 14 that Jesus personally made an impression on me, if I ever was, it was when I was pretty little. But Jesus is now my best friend, has been for years, & I just wanted to make sure that people know."

Well, if there was any doubt before, there's none now. At least, hopefully. I haven't been to church really regular the last little while. The rare time I have a Sunday off, it's usually the only day Patrick and I have off together, so I go to his place. But I've been missing church some, not ever being there, so I've been trying harder to get out a bit more regular. And I still get to see Patrick at least once a week, so it's great.

I guess that the weirdest part is, Jesus & I are doing the best we ever have. Now I have to work at the relationship harder I guess, and that would do it, wouldn't it? But isn't it a little sad that it was always so hard when I spent all my spare time with my fellow Christians? I never did fit with them though, so that's part of it too. I never did fit with anybody anywhere until I started working where I work now. As far as I know, I'm the only Christian there. Well, one of them is a relatively faithful Catholic, so they might be, I dunno. But at least one is agnostic & I'm pretty sure another is to. One equates Jesus with Santa & they since don't believe in Santa, you can see where this leads. Another can't prove that Jesus was the Son of God, just that He did for certain exist, so they can't believe in Someone who can't be proven. The last one doesn't care one way or the other, & doesn't want to think too much about the whole thing.

Definately more power to them, don't get me wrong. I don't care what they believe, it's not really any of my business. I know that Jesus is the Son of God, the Maker of the universe & the only Key to eternal life. I know without a doubt that I'm right & everybody who disagrees with the fact is wrong. But I can't tell anybody anywhere what they need to believe. It's not my place, nor my issue. It's entirely between them & God & they can deal with it on their own as they come to the place where they need to.

What's weird is that this is the first place I've ever fit in. Not with the other people who claim to love Jesus. Not with the people where everybody is supposed to fit. No, I fit with the people who think I'm "religious" because they don't know the difference between religion & a relationship with the Maker of Everything. I fit with the people who have little or nothing to do with Jesus. What's wrong with this picture, really though? I mean, hooray that I finally fit, but WHY!? Why can't the church accept everybody as they are rather than trying to change them? Why does the church feel that it's their responsibility to do what only God can do? Only God can change people. Only God should have any say about where somebody fits. Only God, not the church.

It just annoys me that organized religion has twisted scripture so throughly. "It's all about a man, who died on the cross, to save the world. He rose from the dead, did what He said He would. He loved everyone He saw, what He did says it all." It's a song by Audio Adreniline I think. I'm not sure who it's by, but it's truth. It's all about the fact that Jesus, who is God, part of the Trinity, and the Maker of everything left Heaven, left perfection, to live & die as a human. He left all that was good & pure & holy to grow up here. To be rejected & scorned & to die in one of the most painful ways possible at that time. To come back to life 3 days later, having descended into hell to conquer death.

Yup, sure pretty nearly everybody alive today is going to physically die. But everybody alive today will not stay dead. Jesus offered a way out of death, hell & the grave. He offers life immortal to anybody who will accept it. To EVERYBODY who will accept it, not just to the ones who fit with the church today.

Thus, religion irritates me. It does nothing but hurt, kill & destroy. Look at the chaos in the Middle East. It's all about religion. Live, and let live. I know I'm right, but apparently hardly anybody else has figured that out yet. Oh well, they'll know for sure one day. Scripture says that one day every knee will bow & every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Anyhow, I'm shutting up now. The above wasn't intended to offend anybody. As I've said before & will say again, everybody is entitled to believe whatever they so desire. That not only encompasses everybody else, but also me. I can believe what I want to, just like any other person on this planet.

And I choose to believe Jesus & "Life without end, amen." It's the only thing that makes complete sense & the one thing that cannot be squelched, no matter how hard anybody trys. It's been around more than 2000 years (since time began to be perfectly honest) & will be around time immemorable. That's my choice. I wish everybody else would make the same choice & discovery, but until they do, whatever. They can make their own choice.

So I'm really shutting up now. G'night Dearest My Peeps. Cheers!

Which Season Are You?

You Belong in Fall

Intelligent, introspective, and quite expressive at times...
You appreciate the changes in color, climate, and mood that fall brings
Whether you're carving wacky pumpkins or taking long drives, autumn is a favorite time of year for you
What Season Are You?

Dearest My Peeps,
I just found a how Texan are you test. Apparently I'm 40% Texan, as welcome there as a skunk at a lawn party. Go figure, I'm from Northern New Brunswick. It only stands to reason I suppose.

Then I saw that there were other tests. This one piqued my interest the most. And I was really impressed that the season I am is the season I most adore. Barring the bit about carving wacky pumpkins (merely for fear of carving a finger or thumb from my body), it is very accurate. And I like wacky pumpkins, I'm just incredibly clumsy and not to be trusted with a sharp knife. I have scars to prove that, though many of them are faded beyond recognition.

Anyhow, I'm off for bed. I'm headed to Fredricton tomorrow with my Pat and would like to be alert for the trip. I needn't have another accident so soon. I needn't ever have another accident, God willing. Especially not with someone I care for deeply in the vehicle with me. I would never forgive myself if something happened to anybody that I love because of my own carelessness.

Thus, Bed. Cheerio Mates!

Nothing Big

Dearest My Peeps,

I just decided to blog because I haven't blogged in a while. I don't especially have anything important to blog about, I just want to blog. I totally rewatched Man of the Year again. It was slower starting than I remember, but gee, it was a good movie. For Your Consideration was alright too. Not amazing by any means, but alright. I saw Man About Town with Ben Affleck last weektoo. It was so bad that it was actually quite good. I was very impressed. The Departed was alright too. It was mostly drama, with the occasional humour/action thrown in to mix things up. Then suddenly during the last 10 minutes, there was more action than in the entire movie.

Not that I'd make a very good movie critic. I'm so bloody fussy about what I watch. I really am looking forward to Flushed Away & Stranger Than Fiction. That's for definate sure. I'm not keen on Will Ferrell as a leading man, but Stranger Than Fiction looks stupendous. It'll either be awesome or absolutely horrible. I doubt it can be so bad than it'd be awesome at any rate. A Good Year looks pretty good too. I'm stoked for all the good movies coming out this month, it's great.

So yeah, it's been an alright week. Still haven't heard about Pinky. He was supposed to be ready end of last week & they're going to call me when he's fixed. They still haven't called. Or at least if they did, they didn't have the decency to leave a message on my phone. I'm presuming that indicates they haven't called yet. It's alright though, I totally get the rental until he's fixed, so they can take their time. I don't mind at all, so long as I have a car to drive in the meantime.

I totally got to spend time with Pat on Monday too. We celebrated our 7 month-i-versary & Valentine's Day. The 7 month was on the 10th & Valentine's on the 14th and Monday was the 12th, so it was totally timed great. He took me to Boston Pizza, then we went back to his place & watched "Zoom: An Academy for Superheros". I really liked. A lot! They totally had a Superchick song in it too. I was stoked! It's rare to have a Christian band in a regular movie. I knwo that lots of band have Christian people in it, but the bands that are marketted specifically to Christian kids usually don't branch out into the rest of the world. I don't understand why not, because they're all pretty much the same as the regular bands, except that they have clean lyrics & a good message.

Anyhow, I'm going to stop talking. I sat down with nothing to talk about & other than the bit about Pat, I did just that & talked very well about nothing. So I'm going to shut up now. Have a great day my peeps.

Wordy Stuffs of Update Value

Dearest My Peeps,
This is a detailed report of things lately. It's wordy, I'll warn you now, but at least you'll all know what's been going on.

I've been well enough. There was that car accident Sunday night on my way home from work. I didn't notice the stop sign & only saw the truck when it was WAY to late to stop. I was going straight & he was turning onto the street I was travelling on. I took out his driver front corner. Being a truck, he wasn't damaged too much & was rather more concerned that I wasn't hurt. I wasn't, though I was rather shaken.

Fortunately the front end went under his car, smashing up the hood & shoving the parts all back. The radiator was the only inside thing hurt, along with the radiator ... umm.. something. It's something that I think holds the rad in place or something. The airbag sensor was missed entirely, which is spectacular! They're wicked expensive to get put back in, not to mention that I'd likely have had a broken nose/glasses to top it all off. I also wasn't going very fast, since the limit was 50 kms & I had my cruise control set. It was probably under 30 at impact too, since I did jump on the brakes as hard as I could.

My chest was a little sore that night from the seatbelt, but that was about it. I was told that I'd be super sore the next day & I totally wasn't/amn't. It's all working out well enough too. I got a rental car the next day by 6 pm & that's a great bonus. I even got to name the rental since I'm the first person in the Miramichi to rent it. Her name is Lucielle.

I don't know what I'd have done if the bank hadn't insisted on full insurance. I'd be right up poo creek right now, without a paddle. And I can't canoe well with a paddle, let alone without one. Another plus note is that my deductible is only $250. I was expecting it to be $500 and the insurance lady was all shocked because apparently they often run at $1000 or more. So I only have to pay that before I pick up my car, which apparently should be by the end of next week.

The problem with that is that there is no way on this sweet earth that I can get that much money in that short a time frame. Honestly, what do I look like, a bank!? Not to mention that this pay I am short a shift (had to get time off for Jury Duty, which I ended up not having to do anyway, so I visited my Jacqui for a few days) Ah well, my God owns the cattle on a thousand hills (not to mention that He made them, cattle AND hills, too!) so I'm trying to trust to Him to take care of it for me. When Somebody runs the universe, something this like would be apple sauce.

And on a serious plus note, my insurance will not go up. Yet anyway. They can't put the price up until my renewal in September, at which point I might possibly have saved enough money to be able to pay for it without a concern. Well, with less of a concern anyway. In the meantime, I need to stop buying stuff that I don't need (ie:games, books, DvD's!, etc)

On a different note, I totally named my NDS Tevra Lucielle. Now I totally want to get a specific game for it now, but you can bet that ain't happening anytime soon. Oi. Ah well, it's my own stupid fault. It's not bad though, one accident in 6 years of driving, no other infractions of any kind what so ever (at least, none that were recorded). I did get a ticket this time for failing to yeild in an intersection, but I have till the beginning of March to pay that, so I'm not as worried about it yet. I will be worried about it as soon as God provides the deductable, but not until then. And even then, I'm going to try my hardest to leave it all in his hands. His perfect timing. Worrying won't help anyway. "If you don't worry, you die. If you worry, you still die. Why worry?" I don't know where Daddy heard it, but it's totally true, that's for sure.

They're awesome at work too. There's an extra 6 hour shift next week. They could've given it to any other of the employees but they totally let me have it, because they figured that I can really use the extra hours right now. They're totally right, I totally can really use them, especially right now. It's great. God is so good to me sometimes that it totally isn't funny. I don't know what I'd do without Him. Quite honestly.

Different topic again, on the 10th of February I'll have been with Pat for seven months. It's the longest I've ever dated anybody. It's great. The best part is that it's not the fact that I finally have a boyfriend. I could do without a boyfriend just fine; I did for three years. The best part is the fact that the boyfriend is Patrick Thomas Snow (his full name). As I'm sure I've said before. Anyway, Hooray! I wouldn't want a boyfriend if it had to be any other boy. Most boys are creepy. Cooties & all that.

Off topic, short aside, we still have mice. The cat died a few years ago & now we have mice. Oi. I hope that Dad'll finally cave in & let me get kitty again. We never had mice when we did have kitty, that's for sure.. I don't mention it to him hardly at all though, because nagging & whining won't do one bit of good. Honestly. If I've learned nothing else, it's to leave him be & let it be his decision. Besides, he totally knows my opinion on the matter already & what's the point of trying to shove it down his throat? I'm waiting for the day that he comes home with this tiny scrap of misused kitty that he found lost, alone &/or nearly dead somewhere & lost part of his heart too... I'm sure hoping anyway. And I have a secret weapon! *attempting evil cackle* I've totally been praying about it! MWAHAHAHA! He has no fighting chance! *GLEE*

And to elaborate briefly (well, as briefly as possible) on the short calling in the cavalry post the other day, there was this bad snow storm. Work closed early, which is something of a miracle & says it all. They'll be out of power & stay open because people on the other side of town have power & are snowmobiling in through the raging blizzard.

Anyway, person taking over for me got into work & was all like "I dunno how you're going to get home" I live 30 kms away from work, which is a good half hour drive in good weather. I came back with "Very carefully?" They were all like, "Yeah, no you really should stay at your friend's place that lives handy to here. It's super bad out." I was like, "Well, nope, I can't do that, I have to pick Mum up when I get off to take her home." So I got to leave right then, so I'd be home before dark (and I just barely was too) & didn't have to take the deposit to the bank like normal because they figured with the roads as bad as they were, it wasn't safe to be on them anymore than I had to be. So when I was out back getting my coat & such on, I totally took a minute & sat down & prayed. It was something like, "Jesus, if the roads are as bad as they're all going on about, I can't drive home. I know I have snow tires & animal whistles, but I'm going to need more than that to get home safely. Keep me safe, get me & Mum home in one piece. If you have to, take control of my conciousness & keep my extra alert & do the driving for me. Because I cn't do it alone."

So that's fine, then I called in the cavalry. I called up my Jacqui & told her to pray too. She totally did. It was a bit rough getting my car out of the parking lot, but not hardly at all. I had moved my car earlier in the day & cleaned it off, so it wasn't buried completely or anything. The roads were fine. Snowpacked, so I had to average 15 kms below the limit, but I've driven in way worse conditions. The worst bit was when I got home & nearly got stuck trying to pull into my driveway. Daddy hadn't shovelled at all, because he hadn't realized how much snow had fallen. When he went to an unspoiled spot and checked it was at least a foot, probably closer to two feet. I forget exactly. Darn lot of snow anyway.

So yeah, I got home fine, JEsus didn't need to drive for me or anything. It's great.

And now my wrist is sore, from wording so much. So this is me, shutting up. I've been super wordy, AGAIN! It's a bad habit that I have, wording all over the place. Ah well, at least you've totally been updated on all things of import. I think of you often, pray for you more. Do be safe!

Cheers! Happy day!

Lately

Dearest My Peeps,

I skimmed through my blog last night, looking for something. Wow they're mostly all WAY too long. I want to apologize. I'm sorry for being so long winded. This'll be short, as I have stuffs to do before going to work. (IE: Breakfast)

I had a car accident the other day. I'm fine & I have a full insurance so I totally have a rental until Pinky gets fixed. I don't actually know if they can fix him yet or now. The insurance guy was supposed it go out & take a look at it yesterday to see if it was worth fixing or if it would just be cheaper to replace him.

I dunno what I'm hoping for. I love Pinky & hope he can be okay, but if there're going to be long term problems caused because of the accident, I don't want him to be okay. I don't want to have to pay for this for the rest of the time I own him.

Oh well, I'll find out sometime soon. In the meantime, I'm supposed to be sore. Key word supposed to be. I was a bit that night, but I haven't been in any pain at all since. It's great. *GLEE* Somebody tryed to be nice by pointing out that sometimes whiplash takes a few days to show itself, but I just told them to shut up. I'm not sore & it should stay that way. If not, well, I'll deal with that when I haves to.

I'm getting wordy again, so I'll take off for now. Have an awesome week & be safe. Do as I say in this & not as I do too! God's hand kept me safe, or to word it the way everybody else does, I was damn lucky. But God's such a busy guy, what with running the universe, please go out of your way to be safe, where possible, give Him a bit of a break.

Cheers!

Humph.

I was at Jacqui's for the past few days. It was nice to get back again. It wasn't even as long between visits as usual. I had a great time too.

I miss Pat though. Haven't gotten to so much as chat with him all week. It seems like ages. Well, it has been nearly a week, so I guess that can technically be considered as ages.

I need to never touch energy drinks again too. They give me super energy, I bounce for hours, get extremely hyper & then crash. Needless to say I'm super bitter depressed/cranky in a way that I haven't been in a very long time. I had an emotional high & then I crashed, just like I do anytime I have an emotional high. Crash and burn. Stupid highs. I'm glad I was never stupid enough to get into drugs. I'd be an emotional nuclear bomb site if I had. Anything to get a high, to stay high, to keep from the agony of the crashing. Oi. Stupid crashing.

I wish I could fly.

The Cavalry

Dearest My Peeps,

It snowed today. HOORAY FOR SNOW! At around 6 or 7 tonight there was 13 inches down since morning. At 6 am the road was bare. At 7:30 am, it was coated so there was no pavement showing. HOORAY FOR SNOW!

I'll totally finish updating tomorrow. I called in the cavalry, but I'm sleepy now, so yeah. G'night.

That's all folks. Happy day!

Wii's & Nds's!

Dearest My Peeps,
I want to be playing Harvest Moon : Friends of Mineral Town on my Nintendo Dual Screen. But I jsut killed the battery, so Tevra, poor dear (That's the name I finally settled on) is on the charger. I could also do with a break, I've been playing all day & am starting to play worse & worse. So Here I am.

Probably not for long though. I don't really have too much to blog about that I'm aware of. I totally got to spend Wednesday with Pat, which was awesome. You also already knew that. I dunno when his next week shifts are yet, but he works tonight, so I'll find out the next time that I'm talking with him. We totally went to Subway, & then went over to Terry's and hung out. Luke & Kate were already there, so it was almost like a party. We watched a couple movies & then played Guitar Hero 2. It was great. After Guitar Hero Kate & Luke went home, but we stayed for a bit longer & watched Terry play the new Legend of Zelda.

Man the Wii is SO awesome! I SO want one of those next. But that's for another month. At the current moment I'm quite happy with my Tevra. Besides, Pat will be getting a Wii eventually anyway & I'm sure he'll let me play it sometimes. I also really like watching people play video games too. I really suck as a rule, so it's nice to be able to sit back & enjoy the game without having to get all frustrated because I keep losing. Honestly. It's just easier not to always have to try to figure the stuff out. Especially games like Final Fantasy. They don't look like they'd be any fun to play (I never actually have) but the story lines always look amazing. It'd be great to sit back & watch somebody who is half decent play the game, just so I can get the story without all the bother of having to play the stupid game. I prefer fun games, like Mario or Harvest Moon, etc.

GAH! I FORGOT AARON MARTIN'S BIRTHDAY! AND JAMIE'S! GAH! Mind you I'm only a day late on Jamie. I'm 6 days late on Aaron. I totally meant to call Jamie yesterday & completely forgot. As for Aaron, I just completely forgot. His brother messaged me on MSN & that's what reminded me. Oi. Well, I totally called Jamie & wished him happy birthday. And I totally sent Aaron an online card to two of his addresses because I dunno which one he uses.

Anyhow, I'm off to play with Tevra some more. Happy day!

6 Amazing Months

Dearest My Peeps,

This will be brief. I'm headed for bed. I just wanted to blog a super incredibly amazing fact. I have offically set a record in my life.

Patrick & I have been dating for 6 months today, January 10th, 2007.

Best bit is, (well one of them) it seems like forever & hardly any time at all at the same time. Best bit is, (the other one) totally without previous planning we totally get to spend the evening together. He gets out of school @ 4:30 & then I'm going over. If I believe in conincidence, I'd be all like, "Wow, What a coincidence!" But since I don't, "Wow, what awesome randomness!"

HAPPY DAY!

Riana

Dearest My Peeps,
I finally got my NDS! (Nintendo Dual Screen) GLEE!!! Her name is Riana. It's Gaelic & it means noble. I suppose, it might change somehow, if I hit on something that better fits. But Jo is already taken by my computer & Sam by my iPod & Pinky by my car. I dunno what else there is. Ria is the nickname of a character based after me, so when I typed it into www.babynamesworld.com to see if it was a real name, it brought up Riana. There were other variations of it as well, but I liked that spelling bets. I do like the name Muriel & there's also Jax. I could name it after me too with the honourable V. I dunno. Names are such a trial. It's so hard to settle on a suitable one. Or Christi-Anna. Chris for short, after all. I do need a nickname.

Lucy. Hmm.. Lu... Or Riana. Hmm... Ria. I'm not sure which I prefer to be honest. I do like the name Lucy after all. PEEPS! DECISIONS! SAVE ME!

However, bed for me. Happy day!
Cheers!

Socks -n- Stuff

Dearest My Peeps,

So yeah, I returned a pair of holey pants to Walmart today. Whilst killing time waiting to be able to show up at my coworkers to pick them up for work (we went in at the same time, so I volunteered to pick them up & save them a cab fare) I discovered that the Christmas socks were on sale. They generally cost 3 through 5 dollar, depending on the quality & they were all a buck each! EACH! HOORAY! I totally bought eight pairs. Plus a pair of Archie Andrew knee socks.

I'm planning to start wearing nothing but Christmas socks as soon as my sock collection permits. To reword that so it doesn't sound so wrong, I'm planning to wear no socks other than Christmas socks. It'll take a few years, since most places have their socks all sold now that it's the new year, but that's my end goal. I'm going to have to go through my sock drawer though. It's packed to the gills already, let alone adding 9 more pairs to it. It's just that they're all my friends & I can't bare the thought of throwing my darlings away. I want to get a captain's bed, so I can better utilize my bed room space & if I do, I'll just convert those drawers to my sock drawer. They'd be bigger than my dresser drawers at any rate & should hold more.

Man, if I ever have kids, they're going to be so twisted. Poor little guys.

Happy New Year!

Belatedly

MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Happy day to all my peeps. I pray that I find you all well & good out there in the land of make believe. I am doing quite well. The broncitious is mostly gone, since it's been 5 weeks, it's a damn good thing. It's still hanging on & I do have the opccasionaly coughing fit, but it's not every other minute now, it's not even every other hour.

I totally had an awesome Christmas. I didn't get to see my Pat, but he totally called me & that was so awesome that I didn't hardly mind not being able to see him. He gave me the new Legend of Zelda game for the GameCube. I'm super stoked. Not to mention that it has a slip of paper inside that I can send away to get a 30$ subscription to the Nintendo Power magazine. For a bonus offer, it totally comes with a strategy guide for all versions of the game (Wii, GCube & NDS) plus a soundtrack of the game. I'm totally stoked, since the music is the best part of the game entirely.

My brother totally gave me a giftcard to use on iTunes as well. It's great. Normally you need to give your credit card information to set up an account with the iTunes music store, so that's why I haven't bothered to set an account up yet. But using the giftcard, I could set up an account without giving that information. It's quite nice, because that way I'm not putting temptation in my way yet. I don't want to be able to use my credit card until I have it payed off, and if I can use it online to buy music, however cheap, I'll seriously never get it payed off. That's just the way I am. I have little self control in such matters, so rather than risk it, I just left it. Now I have an account without the worry. I can buy myself cards at Walmart if I so desire & if I don't, well, so be it too.

I used some of it to get MirrorMask the audiobook. I'm super stoked. I wanted to get Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, but the unabridged version is double what I had available. So I leftit for now. As it is, I can still get another cd too if I want, depending on the price. What I need to do is get a spindle of blank cds to back up my iTunes library. I have 5.6 GB of various stuff on my computer & I'd rather like to have a second copy of it, just in case. It's not too likely anything will happen to it, but you never can tell. Since I don't necessarily have access to all of it again (some being borrowed from other people & such), I want a hard copy. I mean to do that next pay day actually. It'll probably take a few hours to back it all up, but that's fine. And that way if I want to share some of it with a friend it's easy to do, I just need to bring along the appropriate cd with me to their place. It's great.

I totally had a doctor's appt today too. He told me that the broncitous will continue to fade with time, that I can do little more than wait it out. If I develop a high fever or get worse again, go back in & have it checked out again, just in case. Otherwise, there's not much that can be done. Oi. He also refilled a presciption for me that I was almost out of refills for & told me that I'm over due again for a pap test. It's not a big surprise, I'm always overdue for a Pap test. They aren't strictly necessary until you're either over something like 30 {maybe 50 like a mammogram, I forget for sure} or are sexually active. Since I'm still only 23, they aren't strictly necessary yet, so I avoid them as much as I can.

He also gave me a prescription for a cream that will murder the end of my warts. I had loads when I was little. They just wouldn't go away no matter what we did. They were burnt AND frozen at the hospital & we tryed every other kind of treatment that you can possibly think of. Nothing worked. I had pretty much given up when he finally sent me to dermatoligist (spelling!) in Bathurst. She gave me this cream to try & low & behold, it worked. In fact, it worked so well that it stripped the surrounding skin off my fingers as well. However, the point is that most of them are all gone now. If you'd told me that they'd be almost gone 13 to 15 years ago I'd have laughed in your face. There're two main ones that just love me too much to leave willingly though, & as they are getting bigger again & one this spreading across the thumb in bits, I want to finish our relationship. DIE EVIL MONSTER BEASTS, DIE! MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

What can I say? I'm an evil, sadistic murderer. I kill any insect that crosses my path, & even rodents that happen to annoy me at all. MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! ;) I don't mind them existing, but if they must I would much rather that they exist without my knowledge. Once I know they are alive I am not capable of resting until I have destroyed them. It's rather pathetic I'm sure, but oh well, what can I say?

Anyhow, it's bedtime for me. I hope you're all still having a super day out there in the land of make believe. Trust me, all days are good, just some are better than others. Today better be one of those that is better!

Cheers! Be safe!

Broncitious

Dearest My Peeps,

So I was into the ER again last night. Apparently I'm still dying, but I won't get into that today, because apparently we are all still dying. The difference for me right now is that I have either a touch of or the beginnings of broncitious (I forget which word he used. Suffice it to say that it makes me cough a lot.) the coughing isn't getting much better at all & now everytime I cough there's a sharp knife in my right side that is trying to push it's way out.

So anyhow, owing the the fact that I'm allergic to erthromyicin (spelling!) which is the first form of treatment for broncitious, they had to give me the second line of treatment for it. I don't remember what it's called at all, just that he said they don't usually give it to young people, but he had no choice in the matter, since he couldn't give me the one they normally would, owing to my allergy.

I'm not actually sure it's an allergy at all, I don't know. I just know in Grade 5 I was in the hospital with pneumonia & they put me on that & I had a very bad reation to it. Thjey switched it up for something else & I was fine after that, so they just put me down as allergic to it, since my body quite obviously didn't like it much.

So yeah, Doctor told me to take off 24 - 48 hours, which was sorta doable. I'm off Sunday (today) and I don't work till 6 on Monday, so that's fine. Problem is that I was supposed to go to Patrick's this afternoon. :(:(:(:(:(:(:( I'm not very impressed with that, but what can I do? At least maybe now that I know what's wrong I can start getting better again. That'd be something at least. And he totally got his shifts changed so that he can go to my work's Christmas party. That's awesome, since he totally would still be working there, if it weren't for that stupid dating policy. Ah well, everybody needs rules & regulations. And some of them are always bound to be stupid, it's just the way life is.

Anyhow, I'm off for now. He's gone from MSN to watch a movie, so I'm going to follow such a smart example, except that I'm going to read. Happy day to my peeps!

Cheers!

Stupid sicky

Dearest My Peeps,

Last Wednesday I started coughing for no apparent reason. I felt fine, I was just hacking like a lung was trying to escape. That was fine, at least, it wasn't too upsetting.

As the week progressed, I started feeling lousier & tireder (if that's a word) & just plain miserable. My nose is running 15 times faster than normal, which means it's sore & tender from always been blown. And I'm still coughing. A dry, hacking cough that you can hear at the other end of where I work when I come in the front door. Stupid cough. It's not getting any better.

Anyhow, tonight, I got fed up with it all. I've been annoyed with it all on a regular basis anyhow, but I finally decided enough is enough & betook myself to the hospital after work, hoping maybe they could help me. Doctor listened to me breathe, totally got some blood sample to double check that everything there was alright & sent me for x-rays. Yup. Pretty standard stuff. I endured the stupid needle for the blood (it's still sore an hour later), went to the x-ray department & went back to see the doctor again.

Apparently, I'm dying. (Don't dare stop reading here!)

*stopping for a moment to relish the suspense* Sorry. I'll continue.

Apparently I'm dying. BUT apparently so is everybody else on the planet, INCLUDING whomever I just frightened needlessly. Doctor said that it's just a cold & that there is nothing he can do for me. Try to gets lots of rest & use cough meds to see if I can't clear it up. The cough meds I was using had a warning on it to check with a doctor before using with the kind of meds the sleep clinic prescribed for sleeping. I checked with my pharmacist & she totally told me not to use it if at all possible, so I stopped. But Doctor told me tonight not to worry about it, any cough meds would suffice. I think I will take the time whilst in town tomorrow to check into a different brand to see if I can't find one that doesn't have that little warning on it, but I'm definately going to find something to use. I simply can't deal with this anymore. For one thing, I work with the public, for another it just plain hurts! MADNESS I TELL YOU *flailing* MADNESS!

However, it's 2 am, so I'm off to bed. I hope all is well out there in the land of make believe. If I scared you greatly with that bit up above, I'm sorry. It was fun though, so please don't be too angry. That's why I didn't drag it out really long. I totally would've felt too guilty.

Happy day!

To The Sleep Clinic... & Beyond.

Dearest My Peeps,

You better have recognized that adapted movie quote from Toy Story in my title. I am quite proud of myself for it. I know it's a pathetic reason to be proud of myself, but I'll take what I can get.

Not too much is new. I went to the sleep clinic this week, as I'm sure you already deduced what with the title. I went to M.J's in Salisbury on Tuesday, from there to the sleep clinic on Wednesday, back to M.J's after my appointment was done on Thursday & then home again Friday. Salisbury is nearly exactly half way between Miramichi & St. John (Where the clinic is) so it was nice. I got to spend time with one of my dearest friends & I didn't have to do the whole trip from here to St. John in one go. I could have, I've done longer before, but that's not the point. One, I didn't particularly want to; two, it was an excellant way to get to see an out of town friend that I only ever see once in a long while.

Anyhow, so I went to the sleep clinic to find out why I'm always so tired. Apparently they couldn't find anything wrong. I don't have breathing problems, I don't have restless leg syndrome, they couldn't find any reason for why. But I wake up an average of 18 times an hour for no reason at all. Not necessarily enough that I'm aware I've woken up, just enough that it disrupts my sleep & keeps me from getting a good night's restful sleep. So that's why I'm so tired during the day, my night's sleep is fragmented & not helpful much at all, but they didn't see a reason for the why of it. It equals out to that I'm really only asleep for about 75 - 77% of the time that I'm in bed. No wonder I'm sleepy.

So, since she's not sure of the cause of the problem, she's not sure how to go about fixing the problem. She (the doctor being the she I'm refering to) decided that she would give me a mild sedative to help me sleep at night. I forget what it's called & how to spell it, but it starts with a T. She figures if we can get me sleeping a full night's proper amount of sleep, then maybe the daytime sleepy will get better. Basic cause and effect. I don't sleep well at night, so I'm tired during the day. This new pill thing will help me sleep properly at night, so in turn, I shouldn't be as tired during the day.

It's a great theory. I just hope it works. It might help if I didn't have a mouse in my room. It's not exactly that I'm scared of mice, but I can't sleep in the dark if I keep hearing noises & that stupid mouse keeps making noises. I need to be able to see what's making the noise. It's hard to see much with my glasses off, but I definately feel safer with the light on. This means it's harder to fall asleep. Oh well, Daddy gave me some poison to put down the other week; I prefer a trap, but I'll take what I can get. Then Mum met my mouse last night. We were watching a movie & it kept running across the floor just within her line of vision. So Daddy took the poison & covered one end with peanut butter, to make it more attractive, becuase the poison by itself is obviously not working.

Last year I had one. The poison didn't work at all. The mouse trap with peanut butter on it was what worked. So I'm going to get a mousetrap today & the dollar store & Daddy is going to set it up for me. I mean, what if the mouse eats the poison & runs back through whatever hole that it uses to get from inside the walls back into my room & THEN dies? My room, & then the house, would slowly start to stink from the smell of decaying rodent. With a trap, Daddy can dispose of it properly & it won't stay around smelling up my house. Stupid mouse. I wish I was allowed a cat. That would sort of the mouse no time flat. Honestly. Stupid mouse.

Anyhow, I have to go get ready for work. I don't work till 5, but Mum works at 3 & I told her that I'd take her to work. That way she doesn't have to try to find a way in. I get off at 12:15 & she at 12, so we can travel together both ways. Tomorrow I work at 2, so that would put her to work for approximately 1:30, so since she doesn't start till 3:30, she's going to get Daddy to take her down. She'll have been working 9 days straight by the end of her go (she switched up with a coworker that needed the weekend, just to be nice) so she doesn't want to spend more time than is necessary there. She's going to be exhausted when she's done as it is. Not to mention that she works till midnight Sunday night & then again at 9 am Monday morning. Oh what fun. *strong sarcasm*

So I'm going to stop babbling for the time being & take off for now. I hope that you're all having a super day. Cheers! Be safe! I'll try to be back sooner next time. Try being the key work in that sentence.

Quotey Quotedey Quotes!

Dearest My Peeps,

Dudes. Not too much is new. Pat totally came up tonight for awhile. He said that he enjoyed himself too. I'm glad. I was rather worried he wouldn't, in spite that I knew it was a stupid worry. We totally went up to the Irving for a minute, so I could get some halls & he could get something to eat & he got to meet Effie. Then we came back here for a few minutes, then we went to church. It went crazy longer than normal, it's generally out by 8:30, maybe 9. But it was 9:30 before we got back home. They hung around singing/praying & such after the preaching.

Anyhow, then when we came back home Mum totally invited Pat to stay & play some scrabble. IT was great. He totally won too and it was his first time ever playing. Then we went downstairs for a bit; I totally downloaded the new iTunes 7.0.2 to my computer (it prompted me to when I opened it) and then Pat totally authorized my computer to play the music bought with his iTunes account! I'm stoked; that was really super awesome of him! It basically means that if he buys music in iTunes, he can send it to me & I can play it. I can't use his account to buy anything, which is good. I know I wouldn't even if I could, but the temptation would be there. It's just much easier to keep temptation entirely out of the way, rather than having to resist it all the time.

But then, I don't go into the iTunes store very much anyway. I don't have an account set up because my credit card is crazy over the limit. I still make all my payments, but that's not the point. I can't use it, so I won't set up the account. I'd totally try to use it way too much if I had the account set up. But you CAN get prepaid cards for iTunes. So I'm considering investing in some of those. I'd still have to set up the account, but I wouldn't have to use my credit card to pay for the stuff. That'd be totally wicked! However, I'm just going to try to pay my credit card off first instead. The whole "keep temptation from being a temptation" thing again.

I've started to mostly just babble senselessly though. I only mostly came on to post a cool quote again. I might just start posting cool quotes that I find, rather than babbling at my poor dear peeps like I do. I dunno though, it just seems kinda mean to only post a quote. You get all excited becuase you see that I posted & then it's just some stupid quote. Well no, it wouldn't be a stupid quote, but that's not the point at all. I might just start having several at the end of each post, rather than just one too. I dunno for sure yet. We'll see.

Anyhow, to really stop babbling senselessly, happy day! Have a great one! Cheers! Be safe! Watch the mooses!

Various things of randomness

Dearest My Peeps,
I've been coughing & wheezing all day. It's disgusting. It's the first time in ages that I've woken up congested. It's horrible. Ah well, I've been sitting around doing nothing for a while now & the resting up some helped a bit. Well, helped a lot actually. I'm feeling much better now. It's great.

I suppose it must have been a combination of going to much/tired/slightly virusy. I dunno, but I sure hope I'm not sick. I can't afford to miss work. At least my schedule this week isn't like 5 days right in a row. I work one day, off the next all week long.

Anyhow, I'm headed out for now. I'm going to go finish putting away my clothes & get to bed. I want to not be yucky tomorrow, so I can get to church in the morning. And then Pat's totally coming up for a bit tomorrow night, going to church with me & maybe coming up to the house for a while, so I should have my couch cleaned off so it can be utilized. I mostly just blogged because I found a totally awesome quote that I didn't want to lose, so I blogged to have a place to put it.

Cheers! Be safe!

It's baaaaaccccckkkkkkk!!!!

Dearest My Peeps,
The title totally has eery music playing with it, just in case you didn't hear it when you read it. It's totally there. Winter has returned. Well, it's definately trying to return. It rained most of the day, it wasn't really cold. After dark the temperature dropped to the negative degrees & the rain thankfully stopped. But my car was still all wet, so the doors totally froze shut. ARGH! I had to get my coworker's drive to open it for me. I was totally tugging on it with both hands as hard as I could & I could NOT get it to open. The lad got out, tugged once, MAYBE twice & it popped right open. STupid door. I felt like such a blonde.

Not that I am blonde anymore. I totally got my hair dyed dark red. I'm thinking about going brighter red next time, but for now, I like it. I've always wanted red hair. I suppose, if I'd had it, I'd have hated it, but that's okay. I've always had red tints; it actually was starting to look copper if the light hit it right before I got it dyed. But I wanted red hair entirely, not sorta red that everybody calls brown.

Everything else is peachy keen. I definately need to get a portable hair-dryer. To be specific a chargeable one that doesn't need a plug in. Because the next step after door frozen shut is door frozen open. Stupid door.

Anyhow, I'm headed out. I'm going to clean my room up a bit Patrick is coming over for a bit on Sunday & nobody is allowed to see my room in the state that it's in, except like my immediate family. Even if he weren't coming over, I'd still have to clean; I've been finding bug carcasses again. I mean, carcasses are definately way better than live bugs, but I don't like bugs period. Dead or alive. Creepy things. If I didn't know better, I'd almost think God had created something entirely useless. But I'm sure they have their uses, even if the uses are entirely only to remind me that earth is not my permanant home. That's still a use.

And I need to get a couple of mouse traps. I think I've been hearing them in the walls again. I had one last winter. Daddy put down poison (forbid me to touch it, as if I'd want to anyway!) & a couple of traps with peanut butter on them. After a week or so I was standing upstairs & over a room and I heard this loud snap. I was talking to Daddy at the time and I was all like, "I bet I know what that was!" He didn't believe me, but when I came to my room 2 minutes later, sure enough, there was a mouse in the mouse trap. Poor mouse. Ah well, it's the stupid things own fault. If it has to exist, it needs to exist in such a way that I don't learn of it's existance. Very similar too spiders. If I don't know they're there, great. Once I do, I won't rest until they're dead & can't touch me. Scary monster beasts!

So I'm really going to go this time. Happy day!

Word up! (or down, whichever you prefer)

Dearest My Peeps,

Howdy hidey ho! ... In regular english, hi, how're ya? Well, more regular-ish anyway. Ish being the key word in that sentence. How goes it in the world of make believe? Well I hope. If it doesn't go well, let me know. Also advise me of who needs to be beaten senseless/severely lectured/tsked at. The tsking is more likely to happen than the first two, but hey, you can always hope.

Not much is new. I spent the evening with Pat after work. That's sorta new. If I work I usually just go straight home afterwards. So that's sorta new. A little anyway. I must make sure not to neglect to mention that I throughly enjoyed myself too. I didn't really want to leave, but I knew that if I didn't, I'd stay WAY to late & end up being tired/cranky tomorrow night at work. Cranky ends up making me mean (well, sarcastic & cruel, same diff) and my coworkers do not deserve that. I mean, they can be annoying sometimes, but everybody can be annoying sometimes no matter who they are.

Even My Jacqui can be annoying, though I find this hard to wrap my mind around. ... So now I'm attempting to think of an example. I can't actually do it. I'm... hmmm... give me a second... I know. She just won't let me buy her everything I see that I think she'd like. HONESTLY! *flailing, unable to look overly frustrated* Since that took me about 15 minutes to come up, I'm going to stop trying. (If there were emoticons in this I'd have the flustered/embarassed one up now)

And that probably gives you an exmaple of how I can be annoying. I tend to over obsess about really stupid things. I also have this fondness for putting myself down. My Favourite always tsks at me when I do, as does my Jacqui & even an ex-coworker. I've been being better about it lately anyway, which is the point.

I'm going to stop though. If I'm not careful I'll be babbling & that's just wrong. Well, sorta. Sometimes. Right now anyway.

My foot hurts. Well, that's not entirely true. Tania (My Patrick's roommate) had some acetaminophin (spelling! it means no name tylenol) & that worked wonders. At French Camp 2001, I was at one of the theme parties (there was one every Friday & most Saturdays). I was dressed as a cactus (TexMex; you can do most anything with bristol board & some tape, if you're inventive). That's not important to the story though. I was wearing flat sandals, that buckled behind my heels & was walking semi-fast. I slipped sideways off the FLAT sandal, heard a funky crack, felt shooting agony & just assumed that I'd sprained it again or something. This was Friday night. Some of the people in charge helped me back to my room (upstairs at the other end of the campus of Saint Anne University) I promptly went on the all day tourist trip the next day, throughly enjoyed myself in spite that I could hardly walk. Anyway, The doctor came in every Thursday for common complaints (emergencies were rushed to the hospital about an hour away). My foot wasn't swollen, wasn't hardly bruised at all, but I could still hardly put any weight on it at all. I thought this was crazy odd & decided to go talk to the doctor.

She looked it all over. Told me that I'd quite broken it. If I wanted her to fix it properly, she'd have to take me to the hospital, break it again & then cast it. Apparently in that week it had started fixing itself, that awesome way our bodies have of trying to stay healthy all the time. I wasn't prepared to let her do that AT ALL! (It hurt already, I didn't need more pain! HONESTLY!) Well, I almost wish I'd let her now. Almost. My summer would have been ruined if I had, so it's still only almost.

However, I can be a pretty good barometre now sometimes. If my foot hurts right along the spot that was broken, it's going to do something wet withing at most 5 days. How many days it hurts for before the storm depends on said storm's severeity. I told a coworkedr on Tuesday that it'd rain within 3 days. It rained Thursday all day. Thursday night I told 2 difference coworkers that it was going to rain again before the week was over. They laughed at me because it was supposed to be a gorgeous weekend. It was nice Friday & today until about 5 or so. then it started to rain.

I should go check the weather station, but I think it's done raining for a couple days anyway, though it might be a bit gloomy/showery maybe. It doesn't always hurt everytime there is damp weather, but every time it hurts, there is damp weather ahead. So yeah, the weather guys say it's supposed to be nice till at least Wednesday. Maybe some clouds Monday, but mostly sunny. But then again, the other week I checked the weather before bed & it predicted rain for the next three days. I checked it the next morning immediately after getting up (less than 12 hours later) & it had changed to sunny for the next three days. I don't think they really know too much about what they're talking about.

However, it's bedtime for me. Lest I be cranky at work & all that. Besides, nobody is really online. I'm talking to Daved, but he's only sending minimal replies, with minimal words AND I'm sleepy. So yeah, it's off to bed for Vicky! HOORAY!

Cheers all! No hitting those mooses. The wily mooses (coming back to the emoticon bit, I'd have the winky guy in there)
