Dearest My Peeps,
I have five posts that are saved as drafts because I have yet to get around to doing up the various quizzes they contain. That really is a little excessive.

War. I just read a "Dear Canada" book on the Halifax Explosion that happened December 6th, 1917. It was a direct result of World War 1, though fortunately, an accident. Regrettable, horrifying, revolting, hideous, AND atrocious! (Yes, I totally cheated & used www.thesaurus.com. I knew lots of words that would suffice, but I wanted big, fancy ones and I didn't want to have to think about it much.)

Anyhow, I've been thinking rather a lot about war lately. Go figure, what with all the wars going on worldwide. With all the press & all the casualities & all the pain & suffering & agony. (I didn't use www.thesaurus.com that time, or it'd have been more along the lines of "distress & anguish & misery" again, all words I know, but didn't care enough to take the time to think of. Give me a break, it's late & I've been tired for several hours now. But I can't go to bed. I must write while I can. I don't know. I just have too. However, I promise it'll be the last time I use my trusty thesaurus. It really is rather too much effort for a sleepy person.)

I hardly know what to write, or how to write it, or what to say. I utterly abhor war. It is evil & loathsome & I sincerely wish it needn't exist. But the more I think about it, the more I come to realize that as long as humans are in charge, there will continue to be war. There will continue to be senseless killing & needless violence & yes, tens upon hundreds upon thousands upon millions of children will continue to be orphaned daily. It is just the way this sin-riddled world is. Not only will so many children be orphaned, nearly as many will die for lack of basic human necessities, like clean water & good food & tender loving care.

"Even so, come, Lord Jesus." Revelations 22:20, KJV And I really want to tack a quickly into that. "Come quickly!" The problem is, that before He finally returns and the old heaven & the old earth pass away and the new heaven & the new earth descend, there has to be MORE war! I understand perfectly well that this is all a byproduct of sin. That it is becuase God couldn't bear to decide for us & gave every single human being freewill in the matter of whether or not to choose the Word of Life, the Saviour of the world, Jesus Christ.

" 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
John 14:1-5, KJV

(General notation, in this posting, I totally only use the King James Version of scripture. The website I link to provides an extensive list of other translations of scripture, and if you doubt that one can possibly be Truth, because man was sure to somehow screw it up over the past 2000 plus years, well, compare. There're loads of other translations & versions of it there, and upon comparsion, you'll find that they all say the same thing, just in different ways. There's no way that many people could screw up, not that many times, in the same way every time. No way probable, not even any way possible, barring probability totally. You'll also notice that I've linked up the references and KJV. To click on the KJV will take you to the entire chapter. The book & verse reference will in turn take you to the specific verse. That way you have the option to go & check it out for yourself, both in context AND just as a singular verse/paragraph.) I mean, I'm totally only copying and pasting, but don't take my word for it. Look into yourself if you are at all interested. It's the only way you'll ever take any of it to heart at all. And if all else fails, pray and ask God to reveal you the Truth. But be wary, because the truth can be a hard & painful thing sometimes.)

34"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword." John 10:34, KJV
AND
51"Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division" Luke 12:51, KJV

Both times it is Jesus teaching. It's two different peoples' accounts of what happened, though they both say more or less the same thing. That because of Jesus there will be war. Family will turn against each other, people will betray their closest peeps and so on. It's even shown itself true throughout history.

But I still really don't know what to write. Most of what I've blogged has been what somebody else has written, quotations straight from the word of God. As those verses above from John so state, straight from the Word Himself. Man written, but God breathed and inspired. Straight from Heaven, sent so we might know the Father a little better before our short lives as physical beings are over.

So I'll stop. I'll have to trust to God to use what I've put somehow. I don't like war, but it is necessary to bring about the end. I'm tired of the suffering, but it's going to get worse, WAY worse, before it gets better. I might sound like a prophet of doom, but I'm only relaying the message Scripture warns us of. This last one I'm not going to post the text of. If you are at all interested, you can click the link yourself and go to the chapter to read it. But beware, it really is the end of the world as we know it. It's all just a matter of when this all will happen, not if.

Matthew 24, KJV

And here I go, signing out. Happy day!

Cheers to you! Cake and cookies too!
(Wow, I spent more time looking for those references than I realized I did. I just reread, to double check for spelling errors & it's not half as long winded as I usually am. Fancy that. Being sleepy does pay off sometimes! Cheers again!)
